English Literature Teacher Location: Stockport Full Time Must have QTS £130-£230 per day dependent on experience Education Personnel is seeking an English Literature Teacher for a full-time position in Stockport. The role will involve teaching English Literature up to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and possibly Key Stage 4 (KS4). The position begins ASAP, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. General duties of the English Literature Teacher will include: Effective Teaching: * Deliver engaging and inspiring English Literature lessons up to KS3 and KS4. * Encourage students to explore diverse literary genres and themes, promoting critical thinking. Curriculum Development: * Collaborate with colleagues to design a rich and inclusive English Literature curriculum. * Integrate contemporary literary works alongside traditional texts to offer a well-rounded learning experience. Student Assessment: * Develop assessments that accurately measure students’ progress in literature studies. * Provide timely feedback to support students’ growth and understanding of the subject. Inclusive Teaching and Technology Integration: * Implement inclusive strategies to engage students of all backgrounds and abilities. * Use modern digital tools to enhance literary analysis and student engagement. Extracurricular Activities: * Organise literary clubs, writing workshops, and competitions to cultivate students' creativity and love for literature. * Foster connections with local literary figures and authors to bring real-world insights into the classroom. Safeguarding and pastoral support. In order to qualify for the role, you must be able to work full-time, have a teaching qualification, and be passionate about your subject.
