Description of the Company & Overall Purpose of the Role
Our client are a specialist engineering company that are expanding so an ideal time to get onboard
The company are looking for a CNC machinist with experience of milling and turning using Fanuc and Heidenheim controls. The most ideal candidate will be responsible for machining components to a high level of quality in accordance with customer specifications.
Working within the manufacturing team you will support the company in meeting deadlines set by our wide range of customers whilst working within the constraints of ethical trading and good engineering practice.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes the following key elements:
To produce a high quality product by Setting and Operating CNC milling machines ensuring quality workmanship at all times
To maintain and improve productivity where possible, work in line with company procedures and machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met
Maintaining set-up sheets as required and in line with company procedure
Ensuring work area kept clean and tidy at all times by keeping machine and all associated tools and equipment in a clean and tidy manner
Working within a safe environment by ensuring all company procedures and Health & Safety legislation is followed at all times.
Candidate Requirements
The right candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
At least 3 years’ experience in CNC setting and operating plus general engineering work
Some knowledge of programming reading and an understanding of drawings & models
The ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
A good working knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenheim machines is desirable, but not essential
Strong communication skills and a good team player, with a positive “can do” attitude
Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
