Part-Time School Finance Officer (Immediate Start) - Mainstream Secondary School, Greenwich We are seeking an experienced School Finance Officer to join our vibrant secondary school in Greenwich, starting immediately. This is a part-time, long-term role, lasting until the end of the academic year. Hours: 12:00pm to 4:00pm, Monday to FridayPay: Competitive salary, dependent on experienceKey Responsibilities: Managing the day-to-day financial operations of the school, including purchase orders, invoicing, and processing payments Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring they comply with relevant regulations Assisting in budget monitoring and forecasting, and providing financial reports for senior leadership Supporting the management of payroll and handling staff expense claims Handling the collection and reconciliation of student fees Managing school financial software (FMS) to ensure data integrity and timely processing of transactions Liaising with external suppliers, service providers, and parents as necessary Assisting with audits and end-of-year financial reportingRequirements: Previous experience in school finance or a similar role within education Proficiency in FMS (Financial Management System) is essential Strong understanding of financial regulations and processes within the education sector Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the smooth running of our school's financial operations in a supportive and friendly environment.
