General Manager

to lead and help bring our vision to life.

Role Description As the General Manager, you will be responsible for launching and then overseeing the daily operations of Wine People, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and managing all aspects of the business. You will be at the heart of building a strong team, cultivating a vibrant community of wine enthusiasts, and driving the success of this unique Georgian wine bar in London.

Responsibilities Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient service flow. Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage staff, creating a positive and motivated team environment. Financial Oversight:

Manage budgets, control costs, monitor sales, and meet financial targets. Wine Expertise:

Curate wine lists, lead tastings, and ensure staff are knowledgeable about Georgian wines and food pairings. Customer Engagement:

Foster relationships with customers, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes loyalty and return visits. Compliance:

Ensure all legal requirements are met, including licensing, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.

Requirements: Experience:

Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in hospitality, ideally in a wine bar, restaurant, or wine-focused establishment. Wine Knowledge:

A passion for and knowledge of wines, particularly Georgian wines (WSET qualification or similar is a plus). Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership and people management abilities with a talent for motivating and developing staff. Customer Focused:

Excellent interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating memorable customer experiences. Organized:

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.
