You are Quality Engineer who understands and has experience of manufacturing processes. You will be committed to learning, supporting the development and maintenance of quality control and assurance management systems to assure that products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality.WHY SHOULD I APPLY?With a recent significant investment on a new production line, comes a new process and along with implementation and quality challenges which need support along with the development and maintenance of quality assurance systems to assure that products manufactured meet customer specifications.Get involved in multi disciplines and processes, which makes this role both interesting and challenging.Be an integral part of the Quality & Technical team within a 50 strong workforce in a £25m turnover operation. We are a specialist site within our multinational business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Engineer- Manufacturer of specialist products reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll work closely with the Technical Department.Your key tasks will include:Initially this role will work closely with the technical team on the introduction of the new production asset. This will be an interesting stage and include testing of material, supporting technical trials, and analyzing data.Troubleshoot quality issues on the production floor and work with Production teams towards a successful resolution.Assist with external and internal audits including responsibility for audit documentation.Drive improvements in all areas of quality assurance that impact our ability to achieve business plan KPIs.Ensure compliance with 9001:2015 quality system and procedures.Provide microbiological test support to agreed procedures.Ensure all products released fully meet customer specifications through the implementation of appropriate levels of control.Develop & maintain effective working relationships across all functions.Work independently with guidance including matters of a confidential nature, maintaining that confidentiality.PERSON SPECIFICATION:Manufacturing experience with quality requirements &/or quality function experience is essential.Quality/Engineering background.Very good level of English.Willingness to learn & desire to progress to become subject matter expert.Resilience in dealing with customer complaints & ability to challenge colleagues & customers in a supportive manner.Ability to carry out quality testing to a high standard.Capable of handling multiple projects/priorities.Excellent written and oral communications.Very strong, word, excel and analytic software capabilities.Strong interpersonal skills needed to interface with all levels in the organization.Auditor qualification/experience would be desirable but not essential.THE COMPANY:As a global business (100+ countries and c3,500 employees) our products are used every day across the world.
