Job Requirements / Description
My client is a leading global data centres business. With a growing EMEA presence, they are looking to expand their legal function with the hire of a lead EMEA compliance counsel. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing the ethics and compliance program in the region. They will maintain and improve that program and implement the company’s global anti-bribery and anti-corruption framework. They will provide advice on compliance matters related to the company’s operations including real estate, construction, privacy and other areas as needed.The successful candidate will be a qualified UK lawyer with 8+ years’ experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs. Data centre or technology industry experience is welcome but not a pre-requisite. Someone with extensive privacy/GDPR experience is preferred, with a willingness and appetite to take on a wide-reaching role comprising anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, privacy, internal investigations, and whistle blower/anonymous reporting.The business is dynamic and fast-growing, and the role is a standalone one in this space for the region.
