Burton Green C of E Church of England Academy are seeking a compassionate and career driven candidate to join their busy team. They are a mixed class,1 form entry small primary school in semi rural Kenilworth, Warwickshire. This is a great opportunity to gain skills and experience whilst working towards a level 3 qualification.Working week Monday to Friday 08:45-15:15 30 hours per week totalWages National Apprenticeship Wage £6.40 per hour Rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months. Qualification Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship - SEN PathwayDuration: 16 Months Training Provider: LMP EducationDuties and Responsibilities Contribute to curriculum planning and evaluation and assist in implementationAssist in the delivery of lessons/sessions and interact with the teacher and pupils as requiredUndertake agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting according to pupil responsesSupport and use ICT in learning activities and develop pupils' competence and independence in its useSupport individuals or groups during independent work/group workOccasional support to whole class for short periodsHelp pupils develop communication skills and social interactionPromote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom, encourage them to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage in all activitiesSupport pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needsPromote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-relianceEstablish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model, demonstrating positive values, attitudes and behaviour and setting high expectationsAssist in the personal, social, emotional development of pupils and development of self-esteemAssist with the development and implementation of SEND/behaviour plansUsing specialist skills / knowledge/training, provide support in specialist areaEncourage and reinforce positive interactions between pupils working within any targets setAssist with pupil intervention strategies following training, e.g. team teachAssist with lesson / activity planning, delivery and evaluationMonitor individual/group achievements of key objectives and feedback to the teacherContribute to pupil assessment through observation and reportingRecord information relevant to assessment and review of pupil's progressAttend review meetings where relevant for individual pupils including those connected to Education and Health plansSupport implementation of strategies to manage pupil behaviour and help manage pupil behaviourLiaise with parents/carers, specialist teachers and other professional staff and share and provide informationMonitor and provide for the care, safety and welfare of pupilsTo provide personal/hygiene support to pupils as required by personal plansSkills and Attributes ConfidenceTeam playerEager to learnArticulateWork on own initiativeQualificationsMaths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) Desired Previous experience working with early years or primary children DesiredAbout the employerThe core mission of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust is to build a better future for all within our academies who in turn will positively impact their communities.
