Ks1 Teaching Assistant

A welcoming primary school in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide booster sessions and interventions for students needing extra support. This is a part-time role offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s educational progress while enjoying a collaborative and positive working environment. As a KS1 TA, you will work closely with class teachers to provide targeted support for students. Your focus will be on delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to help children reach their potential, particularly in literacy and numeracy. You'll be a key part of creating a nurturing learning environment for students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: • Deliver 1:1 and group booster sessions to KS1 students. • Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom management. • Support children with SEN, adapting learning materials as needed. • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere. • Monitor and report on student progress.
