Kilco provides specialist knowledge in animal health and food safety. Role Summary: We are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to join our Pig & Poultry Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Supporting customers and attending regular technical service visits Delivery of the budget in terms of turnover and margin for customers Maintenance of existing customer accounts and accountability for growing the area business into new account opportunities Maintenance of the business reporting tools and CRM system Development of the area business plan that will feed into the National Plan Attending national events, which may involve overnight stays Ensuring company policy is followed in terms of regulatory compliance across all customer sites Adhering to all aspects of health and safety. Key Skills / Attributes / Core Competencies: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the agricultural/food processing sector Ideally a background within the Pig and /or Poultry sectors Agricultural/Science qualification to degree level is preferred Ability to plan for and manage multiple priorities Organised and efficient to manage own diary, meet deadlines and deliver objectives IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Personal Attributes / Core Behaviours: Excellent professional sales technique with an ability top generate new business and maintain customer relationships An understanding of agricultural processes and procedures, particularly within the pig and poultry sectors Good presentation skills Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between teams and with customers and colleagues in person via email and over the phone Ability to continually improve quality and effectiveness of all activities Full UK driving licence is required Pay and Benefits: A competitive salary and benefits package, including health benefits, company car, laptop and phone Part of a Bonus Scheme up to 20% of salary Continuous professional development and career advancement opportunities in a global organisation.
