As a Trade Support Engineer, you will be part of a mission-critical team responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of ultra-low latency and high-frequency trading operations. Working in a dynamic, collaborative environment, you will optimize trading systems across various markets and geographies, pushing the boundaries of performance and reliability in the space of algorithmic trading. What you'll do: Implement proactive monitoring systems to anticipate and prevent issues, minimize downtime, and ensure quick recovery from incidents. Maximize trading system availability and support production systems for various trading groups across multiple asset classes and geographic locations. Develop proprietary process automation and monitoring tools, and integrate third-party technologies. Troubleshoot production incidents stemming from internal systems or external factors (markets, data feeds, telecommunication lines). Manage core market connectivity and liaise with exchanges regarding trade order activity, connectivity, and technical support issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, DBAs, developers, back office, QA, infrastructure, and management globally. Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to efficiently navigate undefined issues. Experience supporting high-performance applications, process monitoring, and troubleshooting. experience with FIX protocol and alternative exchange protocols, and multicast. Python scripting, SQL proficiency, including queries, updates, table creation, and basic database maintenance. Linux and some Windows platform support experience in large-scale production environments. Experience supporting electronic trading systems; prior experience at a proprietary trading firm is preferred.
