Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant Location: Fully Remote Salary: circa £35,000 per annum DOE Job Description: Our Client, a multinational media production company are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team remotely. The successful candidate will support the finance department by preparing accurate financial records, assisting in month-end processes, and ensuring that all financial data is accurately maintained. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our financial reporting and compliance processes. Key Responsibilities: Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly. Journal Preparation: Prepare and post simple journals, including accruals and prepayments, to ensure accurate reflection of financial transactions. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are correctly accounted for and investigating any discrepancies. ERP System Support: Assist in managing the ERP system, ensuring all financial data is correctly entered, maintained, and aligned with project budgets and company requirements. Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required by the management team, providing clear and accurate data to support decision-making. Month-End Assistance: Support the month-end closing process by ensuring all necessary entries are recorded and financial statements are prepared in a timely manner. Accounts Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling various accounts, including intercompany transactions, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Expense Tracking: Verify and record employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate coding in the system. Compliance Support: Assist with compliance-related tasks, including ensuring financial practices adhere to relevant regulations and company policies. Documentation: Maintain organised and accurate financial records, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits or reviews.Qualifications: Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a management accounting role. Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency with ERP systems and financial software. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Great Interpersonal skills and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
