Airport Planner

My client, a leading architecture practice in Blackfriars, London, with a strong reputation for innovative and sustainable design, is looking for Airport Planners at various experience levels to join their team. With expertise spanning multiple sectors, including aviation, education, rail, hospitality, and healthcare, my client operates internationally with offices in the UK, Ireland, and the UAE.
Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate Airport Planners with demonstrable experience or qualifications in airport planning. Candidates should have a strong interest in aviation and airport terminal design and be comfortable working in a hybrid working environment, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Blackfriars office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding of airport client requirements and contemporary aviation design issues.
- Involvement in masterplanning, terminal planning, and capacity planning.
- Ability to combine conceptual thinking with masterplanning, implementation scenarios, and business planning.
- Conduct feasibility studies, concept designs, due diligence, and terminal simulation modeling.
- Present to clients to facilitate high-level decision-making.
- Collaborate with Airport Planners and Architects on various projects.
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, and design principles.
- Experience in airport masterplanning, airfield and stand planning, terminal and facility planning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of dynamic simulation software is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
