Chemical Production Operator

Xpert Resourcing has been appointed to recruit for a key business within the manufacturing industry to facilitate their ever-growing operation.

Our client, who are a global manufacturing company are looking to for a Chemical Production Operator to join their busy factory on a 1 year Fixed-Term-Contract, with the possibility of an extension, near Sawston.

Duties:

• Operation of plant machinery for the production, filling, and packaging of products, adhering to standard operating procedures, and ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Establishing batches, inspecting, measuring, and incorporating materials, and physically relocating batch materials as necessary
• Accurately fill out all associated paperwork and ensure a proper transition to the next shifts.
• Ensure the cleaning of vessels and packaging machinery between campaigns to prevent any cross-contamination of products or materials in subsequent batches.

Skills Required:

• Experience in a manufacturing process environment is essential, with experience in the chemical industry and automation is advantageous.
• Having experience in a manufacturing process environment is crucial, while familiarity with the chemical industry and automation is beneficial.
• Counterbalance license advantageous, although training can begiven.
• This position requires physical exertion, including a degree of manual handling and the capability to carry and lift various items.

Working Hours/Pay:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday Friday, Rotating Shifts 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am
