Technical Manager, Kettering.£60K-£73K + PackageAre you a Technical Manager looking to join an exciting, growing business based in the South Midlands? My client are looking for someone to work on care home / later living schemes, driving schemes post-acquisition, through the design & development stages and into construction.The business is well-established, with a great reputation and a strong pipeline of projects from a strong client based.This position would suit an experienced technical professional who is keen to work in a fantastic, modern business where they can work on projects in a wider development sphere.You'll report into the Managing Director and work closely with the wider business to drive projects to successful completion.Responsibilities:Prepare pre-purchase appraisals of development opportunities advising on development constraintsMaintain a continuous process of evaluation of Consultant's performance and design capabilities to ensure that service delivery standards and scheme proposals adhere to best practice in delivering Value EngineeringAssist in managing the process of timely discharge of building regulations and planning conditionsEnsure adoption agreements are secured in a timely mannerValue Engineer of the Consultants designs to ensure fitness for purpose and best valueEstablish good working relationships with Site staff and Department Heads to ensure schemes are constructed as intended and to encourage feedback for inclusion in future schemes to avoid wastage and improve the engineered solutionsImplement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation's goals and enhancing the reputation of the companyDevelop good working relationships with Local Authorities and ensure knowledge of the peculiarities of the Local Authorities, and knowledge of the many techniques applicable to the Housing Industry to ensure easy approvals and fast, marketable, economic house buildingTransfer of substation sites and pumping station sites as appropriateArranging postal numbers/street names for developmentsAssisting with setting up management companies for apartments and private roadsArranging surfacing contractors and implementation of remedial works, leading to road/sewers being placed on maintenanceRequirements:A proven track record in residential development and possessing the ability to confidently manage all areas where Consultant Engineers have an input into the development processyou must be capable of project managing new developments from acquisition to final adoptionDegree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study5+ years of management experience with a housebuilder/developerExcellent leader with ability to motivate and develop teamunderstanding of design, regulation and engineering processesIndividual who is focused on resultsAbility to prioritise tasksPackage:£60,000 - £73,000 Basic + PackagePrivate Health CareOther great company benefits
