Catastrophe Modeller - Multi-LineLondon (Hybrid)To £60,000 + bonus & competitive benefitsIPS are partnered with a leading, independently owned Reinsurance Broker in their search for a growth hire within their highly-regarded Catastrophe Analytics team in London. The business are in a great position to cement their position as a market leader with ownership investing heavily across infrastructure, technology and talent with the aim of being best-in-class.The successful applicant will join a fun, collaborative and supportive unit, working across lines of business (Property Treaty, Retro, Marine & Specialty), geographies and perils - no siloing as to your focus to grant you the broad Catastrophe Analytics experience to become a future leader in this space. The team are run like a family unit, with the 'Head of' putting lots of importance on both developing the team and creating a working environment you look forward to contributing to. Actively encouraging industry conference & client social attendance, qualifications/certifications and on the job learning with the expertise in-house to support this.Responsibilities include;Technical modelling of client portfolios utilising approved models & toolsAnalysis and validation of results to present Catastrophe Loss & Exposure estimates to clientsStrategic Catastrophe Analysis to identify both profitable and unprofitable areas for growth to support both client and internal management business decisionsPartnering with the wider analytics and commercial teams on a variety of projects including model evaluation, event response, mapping and R&D projects to enhance the client offeringTo be considered;Proven Catastrophe Modelling experience ideally within a Property classExperience with at least 1 recognised vendor model (Verisk/RMS)The personality, drive and ambition to develop your Catastrophe Modelling experience with client-facing responsibilities in a fun & supportive working environment.** Technical skills (SQL and/or coding/programming) are not a requisite, great if you have but it is just the wish to develop here that the team value, with the expertise in-house to support your learning.Right to work in the UK is required.
