The Role: As a Transport Clerk, you will be the backbone of our transportation operations, ensuring that all administrative and clerical tasks are handled efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with the transport team to support the smooth running of daily logistics, contributing to the overall success of the business. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including dispatching drivers and arranging deliveries. * Maintain and update transport records, ensuring all data is accurate and current. * Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent service, addressing any issues promptly and professionally. * Prepare and process transportation documents, such as shipping manifests, bills of lading, and invoices. * Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. * Assist with route planning and optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. * Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure seamless operations. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. What We're Looking For: * Previous experience in a transport or logistics role is highly desirable. * Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proficiency in using transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. * A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
