The Prax Upstream Environmental Manager will be responsible for assuring the Company’s environmental objectives are met during its exploration, appraisal, development, operations and decommissioning activities, both onshore and offshore. The Environmental Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance with Prax Upstream’s internal Policies and BMS Procedures and guidelines, including maintaining existing and future Prax Upstream’s accreditations including ISO 14001 & 45001 and ensuring relevant environmental and other statutory provisions continue to be met.
Assuring compliance with environmental relevant statutory provisions throughout the full life cycle of Hurricane’s onshore and offshore operations
preparation and submission of permit applications, including PETS Applications (Master Application Templates) for drilling, pipeline operations, wells, production operations, decommissioning and standalone, SAT Application Types (Consent to Locate, Marine License etc.), Permit preparation, ops, drilling and future surveys etc.
Administering EEMS database, setting OSPAR EEMS requirements, preparation of; OPEPS, Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Statements (ES), ES Addenda, where required, PPC submissions and related environmental assessment (BAT assessments)
Proposing and monitoring against, annual environmental target and objectives, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual environmental returns, Annual OSPAR public statement
PON2 reporting, OCR Non-compliance Notifications, OPPC Non-compliance Notifications, Chemical tracker – custodian of, Production, Vent and Flare consents, Management of other discharge consents - OPPC, ETS, etc.
Recording environmental training, exercise and drills and submitting annual return on same to BEIS
Waste management oversight (and audits)
Liaising with other West of Shetland Operators to exchange relevant environmental information and lessons learned, Hurricane’s Fisheries Liaison Officer, Relationship Owner for Shetland Isle Council and Highland and Islands
Contract Owner; OSRL, Shetland Oils Spill Response
Lead environmental survey responses / consultations(various), including but not limited to, Atmospherics Technical Group, Energy and Climate Policy Forum, Gas Forum, Environment Operators Technical Group, Government Relations Group
Offshore audits and monitoring, Permanent member of HUR’s audit team, Onshore environmental office monitoring
Interface management BES / TFMC / PFML – regarding environmental matters
Involvement with chemical selection/testing and registration as necessary
Participation in gas management monitoring and strategy development
Responsible for offshore environmental compliance
Monitoring changes to environmental legislation and advising Hurricane personnel, maintaining appropriate records
Ensuring compliance with HSSE&Q corporate policies and applicable legislation, participate in development as appropriate
Establishing, reviewing (and revising as necessary) Environmental policy and plans remain current for Prax Upstream activities
Demonstrate proactive environmental leadership
Support to Aberdeen based ERSC response facilities as required
Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Hurricane HSSE&Q procedures
Technical degree or equivalent (with relevant application to the oil and gas industry)
Chartered Member of professional environmental body
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience of UKCS field development, specifically knowledge of the associated reporting and operational requirements
Proven Environmental leadership experience
Knowledge of current Environmental indicators and techniques for enhance EH&S performance, knowledge of ISO14001 & ISO 45001
