Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Bias Our client is recruiting an experienced Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join their team in their Lancashire factory. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the equipment by adopting a continuous improvement approach to maintenance. Working as part of a larger team, you’ll have your own area and specific kit to focus on to help develop you into a subject matter expert. Within your area, you’ll lead on the implementation of maintenance programmes designed to prevent failures and minimise downtime. You’ll conduct regular inspections to identify potential threats and find ways to resolve them before they escalate into a bigger problem. You’ll regularly assist other engineers giving you full exposure to all the assets. On a daily basis, you’ll perform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, adjustments and repairs as well as maintaining accurate records of all engineering activities and equipment performance. With a tenacious approach to your work, you’re constantly looking for the 100-year fix and will be actively involved in future improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have experience specifically in preventative maintenance within a factory or industrial setting and strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
