HYBRID ROLE - 3 DAYS IN LOCATION - MULTIPLE UK LOCATIONS This UK-based company offers advanced edge infrastructure solutions, connecting businesses to cloud, connectivity, and IT services through a network of strategically located data centres. Their platform supports efficient deployment of applications, helping over 1,200 clients drive innovation and scale. With a focus on energy efficiency, security, and compliance, their expert team ensures smooth digital transformations. Position Overview: This role provides an opportunity to lead various projects focused on operational excellence across a network of regional data centres. The role will involve overseeing operational standards, improving energy efficiency, enhancing safety protocols, and driving a superior client experience. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures across the data centre network, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Spearhead initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability across all facilities, working towards the reduction of energy use and achievement of PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) goals. Collaborate with product teams to ensure that operational processes align with product offerings and that clear, consistent information is available to teams regarding the data centre infrastructure. Manage the lifecycle of the data centres, forecasting potential changes and ensuring a robust capex and maintenance plan is maintained. Provide input into the development of capital investment budgets, ensuring that key infrastructure needs are accounted for. Facilitate training and ongoing education for team members to ensure adherence to operational protocols and standards. Manage risk registers, ensuring that risks are mitigated, and improvements are reflected in updated processes and procedures. Support data centre managers in maintaining their risk registers and ensuring compliance with all operational standards. Collaborate with environmental and risk teams to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met across the facilities. Lead the hosting of external auditors during site assessments. Maintain the accuracy of installed capacity data, ensuring consistent reporting and measurement across the entire network. Stay up to date with industry standards and legislation, working with external bodies as needed, and advise on any relevant changes or improvements.
