Job Title: Chartered / Senior Building Surveyor Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex Company: Multi-disciplinary Consultancy Position Overview: We are seeking a Chartered / Senior Building Surveyor to join a thriving multi-disciplinary consultancy at their Burgess Hill office. This role comes as part of our continued growth, supported by a strong pipeline of work. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of residential and commercial properties, carrying out building and measured surveys. A key focus will be on insurance works and expert witness reports, alongside other core building surveying duties. Key Responsibilities: Conduct building and measured surveys. Provide expert advice on construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of properties. Provide expertise in insurance works and expert witness reports. Administer contracts and manage defect reports. Carry out risk assessments Manage party wall matters. Provide advice on CDM Regulations 2015, The Party Wall etc Act 1996, and Building Regulations legislation. Qualifications & Requirements: MRICS Status (or currently working towards this qualification). Full driving licence. Reside within commuting distance of Burgess Hill. Demonstrated stable career history. Experience with consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, and planning practices. Awareness of current statutory requirements, technical publications, and guidelines. Proficient in CDM Regulations 2015, The Party Wall etc Act 1996, and Building Regulations legislation. Remuneration Package: Salary: £50k - £60k DOE (higher for candidates with extensive experience). 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with increases based on service. employer pension contribution. 37.5-hour workweek with flexible, family-friendly working policies.
