Offering a curated wardrobe of contemporary and active collections for the modern woman, Varley exists to instil quiet confidence with clothing that is made to move and evolve with your everyday.About the Role:This senior role will take accountability for demand planning and ensuring the availability of classic and continuous lines for Varley globally for all distribution channels. Working with the wider merchandising team to ensure smooth production placement & intake planning. An exciting opportunity to join a growing merchandising team and implement new best practices and processes to facilitate the next stage of business growth. This role is based full-time in our Chesterfield Office. Responsibilities:Construct & aid presentation of company range plans ensuring accurate buy plans & financial roll-ups by category and channels. Review pricing hierarchy and margin for pre-season sign-off.Recommend product range structures, including option count and range depth, through data analytics.Review sales and forecast future demand for all sales channels, planning the order volumes to achieve sales budgets.Responsible for demand planning continuous lines within the business, meeting availability targets & working with product teams to ensure commercial exit strategies.Provide forward visibility of stock intake & inventory holding reports. Review in-season stock opportunities and stock-out risks, ensuring category profitability is maximised.Ensure merchandising calendar and critical path deadlines are met to achieve stock delivery on time in full, providing forecast information to achieve where needed.Provide visibility & support to Import merchandiser by flexing intake to ensure availability and avoid over-stocks.Review and present weekly ecom trade performance into the business.Prepare monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for business use.Build strong working relationships with the supply base & internal functions.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Merchandising or related field.Experience and Skills:Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role within the apparel industry.Strong analytical skills, ability to build reports, track performance, knowledge of forecast principles & implement demand planning practices.Proficiency in merchandising tools and software, such as Excel and inventory management systems, as well as prior experience with NetSuite or similar systems, is advantageous.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to collaborate effectively with other teams and external partners.Ability to work independently as well as within a fast-paced team.Benefits:Employee Purchase Scheme with 50% off for employees.Friend and Family Purchase Scheme with 20% off.Access to Bupa Health care after 2 years.25 Days Holiday.Enhanced Maternity and Parental Leave after 2 years.Lunches 3 times a week.Our PeopleWe think of ourselves as an international family-run business that embodies our founders’ commitment to creating timeless collections for the modern woman.
