Our client is currently seeking an experienced SMT Process Engineer to play a crucial role in advancing both current and future manufacturing and engineering processes. Key Responsibilities for the SMT Process Engineer: - Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality. - Specify, justify, purchase, and integrate new equipment into production. - Review and approve PCB layouts for manufacturability. - Ensure component compatibility for seamless assembly. - Design and procure solder stencils tailored to project needs. - Establish and refine solder reflow profiles for various products. - Design and implement specialised manufacturing tooling. - Calculate and optimise process timings for improved production flow. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Proficiency in Design for Manufacturing principles. - Extensive experience in solder stencil design. - Solid background in processes and programming for a surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly line. - Certified IPC-A-610 trainer certification (preferred).
