Internal Sales Engineer

Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer required to join a supplier of industrial control & automation products near Glasgow. The Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer must have the ability to advise, follow up and complete sales interactions with our customer base and identify opportunities for them along the way. The successful Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Support Engineer must have a hands-on background or sales/technical knowledge of electrical control and industrial automation products, including PLCs, Programmable Logic Controllers, variable speed drives, and electrical control gear. Would be ideal for someone looking to come off the tools and go into a technical support role. Package £28,000 - £35,000 Annual Bonus Health insurance after 3 months PensionResponsibilities include: Drawing on a background of technical knowledge in order to assist customers in product selection suitable for their application, and to provide post order support. Assist in the generation of accurate and competitive sales quotations to meet the customers’ requirements. Providing knowledge for a range of electrical control and industrial automation products, including PLCs, Programmable Logic Controllers, variable speed drives, electrical control gear, etc. Providing product selection and customer support on a range of industrial automation products. Continue to study technical and product-related material in an effort to keep up-to-date with the latest technology. Help to build close relations with customers and suppliers. Reporting to the Branch Manager Monday – Friday 8:30 - 5:30pm (Flexi time available) Commutable to site near Glasgow Requirements include: Experience as a Technical Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Advisor, Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Advisor, Sales Executive, Technical Sales Engineer, Inside Sales Representative, Applications engineer or similar. A hands on background or sales/technical knowledge of electrical control and industrial automation products, including PLCs, Programmable Logic Controllers, variable speed drives, electrical control gear, etc is essential. Experience in a hands-on role within automation looking to get off the tools would be considered. Commutable to site near Glasgow
