I am working with an incredible SEN school in the Royal Borough of Richmond Upon Thames, who are looking to hire a SEN Teacher to join their wonderful team on a permanent basis. This is for the January start.
What to expect as a SEN Teacher:
The opportunity to work in a specialist SEN school where creativity is valued
Ongoing professional development and training available

Teaching small classes (up to 10 children per class) and working closely with other teachers, Teaching Assistants, and multi-disciplinary team
Teaching children ages 11 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs, including Autism / ASC
Requirements of a SEN Teacher:
Must have a QTS or QTLS
A dedicated and dynamic personality.
To work with SEN staff and support staff (including prior discussion and joint planning) in order to benefit from their specialist knowledge and to maximise their effectiveness within lessons
Experience teaching pupils with SEN, although we welcome applications from qualified teachers currently working in mainstream schools, looking to work in the SEN field
To contribute towards the implementation of EHCPs as detailed in the current Code of Practice, particularly the planning and recording of appropriate actions and outcomes related to set targets
Previous experience teaching primary would be highly valued for this role
The school would be happy to consider newly qualified teachers
