School Caretaker

School Caretaker required for a primary school near Ware. Are you looking for a new school caretaker role in or around the Ware area? We are looking for a school caretaker to join a popular primary school in the Ware area on a full-time basis from November 2024. This role would be perfect for someone who either has prior experience as a school caretaker or is looking to utilise their ‘handyperson’ skills and background in a new position within a primary school. THE POSITION * School caretaker * Primary school near Ware * Split shifts (7am – 9.30am and 3pm - 6pm) * Key holder responsibilities * Responsible for maintaining the safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school site * Long-term role Examples of duties could include: * Regularly checking fire and safety systems * Undertaking routine maintenance work on school site * Arranging emergency repairs where necessary * Overseeing cleaning staff and undertaking cleaning duties where necessary * Liaising with external contractors * Undertaking general porterage duties including moving furniture and equipment within the school WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY? * You have experience as a school caretaker or school site manager * Or you have relevant skills and background that could be transferable to a school caretaker position * You are reliable, trustworthy and dedicated * You can bring energy and pride to your work * You can interact well with children (with patience!) and want to ensure that the school environment is safe and secure for pupils to learn and thrive WHO WE ARE Moore Teachers is a specialist primary and HFL Education recommended business working with primary schools in Hertfordshire and West Essex.
