IT Engineer

Role: IT EngineerLocation: Northampton – On-siteSalary: £35,000 - £45,000Synchro are partnered with a prominent global development partner and supplier to the automotive industry, serving both the passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors. this organisation has been at the forefront of advancing climate-neutral mobility, focusing on electrification, thermal management, and innovative technologies.We are looking for an IT Engineer to join the team!You will oversee the IT network and infrastructure support for the Build and Test department.What we are looking for:Strong networking knowledge.Experience with legacy software.Familiarity with AVL PUMA and Horiba STARS systems is a plus.Understanding of cybersecurity is advantageous.What you will be doing:Manage Active Directory Users and Computers.Oversee scheduled reboots for Windows updates during testing downtime.Troubleshoot Windows issues on test cell servers and computers.Maintain and map network connectivity, tracking additions and removals for an accurate network overview.Assign computer names and IP addresses to new devices, adding them to the domain.Maintain backups of test cell computers for disaster recovery.Support security measures on IT and OT equipment.Please contact Joely Callaghan at Synchro, to explore this fantastic opportunity further!
