The role involves working on advanced reactors, pumps, and other complex machinery in a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.
Job Overview:
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various production equipment, including reactors and pumps. This role requires a balance of electrical and mechanical expertise, as well as a basic understanding of PLCs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a production or R&D environment and the ability to adapt to fast-paced operational demands.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery, including reactors, pumps, and other equipment.
- Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct basic PLC troubleshooting and make adjustments where necessary.
- Wire electrical systems and perform installations as required.
- Work with other departments, including R&D, to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, issues encountered, and repairs completed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Qualifications and Skills of the Maintenance Engineer
- Strong experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally in a fast-paced production or R&D environment.
- Knowledge of pumps, reactors, and other production machinery.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults, including wiring and basic PLC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics) is preferred.
