Production Shift Manager
Food Manufacturing / FMCG
South Manchester
£50,000 per annum
10% Annual Bonus
4 on 4 off (days and nights)

As an FMCG business who are world-leading within their sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the department as a production shift manager with excellent benefits. As a production shift manager you will be contracted to work a variety of days and afternoons but no weekends. You will report into the manufacturing manager and will be driving reliability throughout the whole site.
Your New Job
Ensure production and conformance to plan targets are met and deploy the labour plan. Responsible for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and potential efficiency; accuracy & waste recording; downtime; packet weights; labour numbers and efficiency. To ensure effective communication between operations team, management & support teams and engineering between shifts & individual Team Members by utilising the tiered accountability process & appropriate escalation points. To ensure staff understand & demonstrate the importance of high levels of customer service (both internal and external), identify ways to improve customer satisfaction. You will have full responsibility for the production and manufacturing schedule in accordance to set deadlines and will be responsible for the delivery of volume of product within in timescale and budget whilst meeting quality standards. Liaison with other departments such as planning and Despatch to make sure orders are delivered in timescale will be a big part of your role. You will be tasked with the Training and induction of staff, leading, developing, and motivating the site production team, and ensuring a positive and engaged workforce.
Your Experience and Requirements
ZAP is searching for shifts managers with experience of working in a similar position within a fast-paced production environment, food or drink manufacturing experience, food hygiene certificates and someone with very strong people skills.
