Job Description: Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out Position: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Location: Central London (with flexible and remote working options) Salary: Competitive up to £65,000, based on experience plus package Company Overview: 4Site are representing a leading Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across London. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join the Interiors division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of fit out projects up to £10 million, from inception through to final account, without the need for direct support. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently on complex projects. Key Responsibilities: * Cost Management: Take full responsibility for the financial management of fit out projects up to £10 million, including budgeting, cost control, and value engineering. * Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of bills of quantities, contract documentation, and the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. * Valuations & Payments: Prepare and submit interim valuations, manage the certification of subcontractor payments, and ensure timely financial reporting to senior management. * Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of contracts, including variations, extensions of time, and final accounts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. * Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with financial targets. * Client Liaison: Act as the key point of contact for clients on all financial matters, ensuring clear communication and maintaining strong client relationships. * Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to senior management. * Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation. Qualifications & Experience: * A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience in fit out and refurbishment projects within the commercial office sector. * Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC. * Proven ability to manage the financial aspects of projects up to £10 million independently. * Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. * A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
