Field Service Engineer (Power & Renewables)

Our client, a well-established and successful Equipment Hire business with operations across diverse industries, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their Power & Renewables division. This division has recently seen a multimillion-pound investment, reflecting the company's commitment to growth and innovation in renewable energy. The position is full-time and permanent, supporting a variety of installation and maintenance projects throughout West Yorkshire. Employed in a field-based position covering West Yorkshire where you will be responsible for, but not limited to: * Installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of renewable energy and power systems that can include solar smart panels, hybrid generators and battery storage units etc. * Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify issues and implement effective solutions * Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on equipment usage and maintenance. * Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and technologies * Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job Essential requirements: * A solid understanding of mechanics and electrical systems specific to the operations of generators and associated systems * Served recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship * Experience gained in the Renewables and/or Power industry * Good problem-solving skills * Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care combined with excellent communication skills * Full UK Drivers Licence * Willing to contribute to working overtime
