HGV Driver

Job Description:We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a HGV Driver, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £18.55 - £23.82 per HourResponsibilities:To report to the Business Services Manager or an officer delegated with the responsibility.To ensure vehicles are road-worthy before, during and after each shift.Carry out safety checks as detailed in the drivers log books.Complete drivers log books fully and truthfully.Report defects and accidents immediately.Carry out tasks as assigned, including loading of goods, waste and any other item that needs transporting.Qualifications:An understanding of, and commitment to, the Councils Equality and Diversity Policies in connection with employment and service provision.A full, clean class 1 or class 2 heavy goods vehicle licence for LGV drivers.
