Bar Manager | Full Time | OUTERNET VENUES LIMITED About us Four levels below ground, and right next to Tottenham Court Road tube station, we have created HERE - a cutting edge 2000 capacity space to host incredible live concerts, club nights, comedy, arts and culture; alongside high-profile events, launches, fashion shows and film screenings. Shows so far include Ricky Gervais, Annie Mac, Joe Kay, Gabriels, Gang of Youths & Kerri Chandler. Private events have included Aston Martin, NFL, Prada, Amazon, Sky & EA sports. Just round the corner on the infamous Denmark Street where the Sex Pistols lived, the Rolling Stones recorded and David Bowie started his first band, sits The Lower Third - a neighbourhood bar and fiercely independent grass roots music venue championing emerging talent and the unbridled spirit ofmrock&roll; with a world class cocktail bar and 250 capacity basement club. We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join us on an adventure that promises total immersion in music and events - with a bunch of like-minded, creatively driven and passionate people obsessed with creating unforgettable memories that last a lifetime. About the role You will be part of the venue operations team reporting to the Bar Operations Manager. You will be expected to: Lead a team of 3 to 4 Assistant Bar Managers across 2 different venues and a bartender team of 40+ members. Hire, train, upskill and mentor employees at different stages of their career and foster a nourishing work environment. Prepare events in advance with accurate scheduling of staff across the Bar Department. Open and close venues during high profile, high revenue or high-risk events. Work closely with BOM on any brand activation and R&D for both venues. Respect budget and par levels on beverage ordering across both venues. Deliver on operational, financial and departmental targets and budgets. Thrive to always improve on COGS results and drive revenue. Reconciliate stock and accurately report to BOM on a weekly and monthly basis. Create and program menus, recipes and batches on both POS and stock system. Ensure H&S regulations, making sure both venues are compliant with current uk laws. About you You will need to have relevant experience in live music / entertainment venues / high- volume bars, hold a personal license and be familiar with bar operations. You will need to be committed and flexible in your approach to work, be able to keep calm and calculated under pressure and possess an obsessive and acute attention to detail.
