Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Gateshead, North East
Hours: 37.5 per week

Company Overview:
An established civil engineering firm specialising in roads and sewers is expanding its team in Gateshead. We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
- Conduct cost value reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Administer contracts, including managing variations and claims.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure optimal value.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Quantity Surveying (from any construction background).
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts.
- Excellent cost management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
