Job Spec A broad role across the Risk & Compliance functions at Mosaic as well as numerous other development activities as part of the growth of the business. Key aspects will include interaction across all Mosaic entities and service companies, regulators around the world, Asta Managing Agency and Lloyd’s. The role and its responsibilities are expected to evolve significantly over time as Mosaic develops.

This role sits within the global Risk & Compliance function at Mosaic and is located in London. The Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Risk & Compliance team in ensuring Mosaic Group companies comply with all relevant regulation and legislation applicable in the general insurance sector.

This role will suit an individual who is personable and meticulous, comfortable taking ownership and initiative when working independently and alongside the wider business when needed. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to provide clear, concise guidance and advice to the business, both verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities Risk Management · Assist in the development and implementation of the risk framework, including risk register, risk appetites, risk policies and standards · Responsible for the maintenance and regular review of the risk register, including monitoring the overall risk profile, including accumulations, trends and emerging risks, escalating high priority issues · Assist in developing and distributing tools, techniques, methodologies, analysis, reporting, communication and training · Assist in the annual and ad-hoc ORSA process and draft reports · Assist the Head of Risk and Compliance in undertaking quarterly reviews of the risk profile

Compliance · Work closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance and Asta Compliance across all aspects of the framework for all Mosaic entities · Point of contact for internal day-to-day compliance queries in relation to TOBAs, sanctions screening and conduct queries · Lead in monitoring and maintaining compliance with Lloyd’s principles · Assist the Head of Risk & Compliance with implementing compliance policies · Assist with company secretarial duties as required · Responsible for FCA returns · Compliance team conduct champion · Assist underwriters as required · Ensure Lloyd’s systems such as Atlas

are appropriately updated · Support the Head of Risk & Compliance in ensuring the firm’s activities comply at all times with both its internal procedures, FCA, and other jurisdictional/legislative requirements · Support the Head of Risk & Compliance in providing training sessions to the business on core compliance topics · Responsible in assisting the business on sanctions-related queries · Support the compliance team by ensuring adequate records are kept throughout the organisation to demonstrate compliance with various regulatory bodies

Geographical Expansion Initiatives · Support Mosaic’s leadership team in the operation of regional service companies, including filings, applications, regulatory and operational aspects, in addition to risk and compliance

Skills, Experience, & Education The individual in this role will need to demonstrate the right blend of technical knowledge across risk and compliance, have excellent communication skills, and be able to operate across multiple teams in a fast-moving environment as a self-starter: · Good understanding of the regulatory handbooks, rules and guidance applicable to the insurance sector with particular experience working within a Lloyd’s Insurer, MGA/MGU or broker · Good communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels · Confidence and willingness to pursue delivery to challenging timescales in a complex environment · Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other divisions within the group, in particular, the underwriting division · Good knowledge of Lloyd’s and other regulatory requirements and Lloyd’s principles · Experience in risk management and compliance roles and a knowledge of functions and activities of an insurance company · Good level of IT literacy, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint · Three to seven years’ experience within a Lloyd’s insurer or broker would be desirable
