The school is currently seeking a PMLD Specialist SEN Teacher to support its students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other staff to plan, create, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the needs of students with PMLD. Develop and implement holistic approaches to learning, focusing on individual action plans and strategies that promote meaningful progress for students. Take a lead role in creating and reviewing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care programmes for a designated group or form. Work in partnership with families, external agencies, and school staff to ensure the best possible support for the students. Foster therapeutic relationships with students, ensuring interactions are tailored to each student’s unique needs and abilities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be: Previous experience teaching students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or a passion for supporting students with complex needs. In-depth knowledge of SEN and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Skilled at managing challenging behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time, with fixed working days. A valid, clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or a willingness to obtain one. Relevant training or qualifications in supporting students with learning difficulties. Why Join Us?
