Programme Lead Dorset Up to £70,000 + bonus, plus flexible working and fantastic benefits (including a 4 day working week!) Copello are partnered with a global technology leader within Maritime and Defence recruiting for a Programme Lead to join their client based in Dorset on a permanent basis. The Programme Lead will be planning, leading and reporting on major projects and working closely with various function leaders and project managers. Taking a lead and inputting on work as a part of a collaborative team from concept, through to bids and tenders right up until launch and execution and shut down phases. Lending on their wealth of knowledge and experience the Programme lead will control contractual budgets and time lines and communicate with and update both internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring the successful delivery and project performance. Day to day responsibilities will include; Working with cross functional teams to deliver projects on time, to cost and communicate key data to the business and stakeholders Input into bids and tenders and ensure fixed and forecasted projects have engagement from the RFQ Phase Engage with relevant business areas at bid stage and drive buy-in at this stage from planning and delivery departments Capture and mitigate risk and communicate risk to the board and other relevant stakeholders Identify and report resource requirements for current and future projects Create key project plans including operational, financial and strategy Work with various departments to ensure they have clear understanding of requirements and deadlines for each project deliverable Drive and encourage adherence to procedures The Project Lead will have demonstrable experience in a similar position, successfully delivering projects and working in a similar customer facing environment. It would be advantageous for applicants to have obtained a technical degree (HNC/HND considered) or experience equivalent working on complex and technical products/ projects. Other relevant knowledge/ qualifications that will be essential to be considered will include; Relevant project or programme management qualification of accreditation (APM, Prince2, PMQ etc) Use of industry standard project management tools at an advanced level Working knowledge of business processes and compliance A deep understand of how to work in teams and deliver against varying workloads Knowledge of operating with defence / MOD customers Knowledge of composite design and manufacture It is an essential and non-negotiable requirement for the successful applicant to obtain UKSC clearance. This role is based in Dorset and offers a 4 day working week. Due to the nature of the role and the projects, this role is 100% on site and cannot accommodate home working.
