Job Title: External Business Development Location: Dudley Hours: 08:00 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday / 08.00 – 16.30 Friday Salary: £44k (No Commission) Benefits: An attractive salary, company car, and phone Contract: Permanent *** Due to the company’s car insurance policy the candidate will have to be over the age of 30 to be considered for this position *** Our client who are leading specialists in the Metal Fabrication sector are looking to recruit an External Business Development Executive to join their long-standing team. You will be a highly motivated proactive individual with experience in targeting new business within the manufacturing/engineering or fabrication industry. As this is an expansion of the sales team you will not have a data base to start with so must have knowledge of how to find and target new business. Daily responsibilities of the External Business Development Executive: · Researching Geographical areas you can target, within the UK · Researching and targeting potential new customers · Booking and attending appointments/client visits · Writing of reports from Appointment/Visits · Able to forge good relationships with engineers and buyers · Must be able to communicate on all levels from one man band engineers to corporate companies with engineers/designers. · Able to plan your own diary for the week The right candidate will have: · Current clean driving licence · Experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies · Some knowledge of steel is required. · Some knowledge of drawings would be advantageous · You will be selling sub-contract laser cutting and folding · Be computer literate.
