Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Account Manager to manage and develop key accounts within our manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for designated manufacturing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Manage day-to-day client interactions, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement strategies to expand the businesses market share.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
  • Sales Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and execute account plans for key customers, focusing on long-term growth and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on account performance to the Sales Director.



  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including production, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities tailored to the manufacturing sector.
  • Assist in the development of new products and services based on customer feedback and market demands.
  • Customer Service & Support:
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and issues, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide product training, education and support to customers where necessary.
  • Liaise with the technical team to address any quality or compliance concerns raised by customers.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:
  • Proven experience in account management within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the UK food manufacturing sector
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and delivering sales growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
