Support Developer | ASP.Net | C# | ITIL | SQL Server | Oracle | Software Support


Role: Support Developer.

Location: Birmingham (Fully Remote). Please note that only applicants from the UK will be considered for this position.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.



Applause IT is hiring an experienced Support Developer to join a dynamic team in Birmingham. As a valued member, you'll actively contribute to shaping our client's company and support external stakeholders.


Our client is a passionate team of twenty, who are dedicated to delivering exceptional projects for their clients. With a focus on both client needs and team well-being, they're committed to continuous growth and improvement. Primarily, our client work with SME / start-ups, government organisations, large businesses, sports clubs, and agencies. This role offers an exciting opportunity, with no day looking the same, working to support all end-users.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather and verify requirements.
  • Efficiently utilise resources and champion continuous improvement through testing and quality assurance.
  • Update and support changes to software and bug fixes.


Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Personal organisational skills.


Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with established processes and methodologies.
  • Good time management and estimation abilities.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and their relevance to existing systems.


Technical Skills:

  • HTML/CSS, ASP.Net, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • Entity Framework, Oracle, Java, SSRS, SSIS


Non-technical Skills:

  • Conscientious and proactive work ethic.
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM environments.
  • Ability to lead a support team.
