The school provide education to students that have additional social, emotional and mental health needs. The main responsibilities of a Mental Health Assistant: Implementing therapeutic techniques (assisted by educational psychologists) Creating a safe space for students to express themselves Identifying potential triggers leading to challenging behaviour Collaborating with class teachers to tailor learning material Acting as a role model to students The school is completely committed to creating a safe space for students to explore and develop their independence. The children attending the school face challenges such as social and communication difficulties and mental health difficulties. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a crucial part throughout the school day by helping these vulnerable students develop healthy coping mechanisms and communication techniques.
