Student Cover Supervisor

Are you a University student wanting some flexible work? Are you an Aspiring teacher wanting to gain more experience? Always Flourishing are working with several excellent Secondary Schools across Surrey, including Camberley, Guildford, Farnham, Staines, Epsom, and Redhill. Due to the challenges that schools are facing with staffing, they are requiring resilient and enthusiastic individuals to cover lessons on a flexible basis and part time basis. No previous experience is required - Just a can-do attitude and a passion for working with young people. Cover supervisors are responsible for supervising pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises and to manage a classroom, ensuring that pupils remain on task with the work they have been set. This is a highly rewarding, and challenging role. The School looking for individuals who are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them. Full lesson planning and objectives will be provided. No planning, preparation and/or marking and assesment is required. You will have the full support of staff, with access to additional training material and courses to help you up-skill. Always Flourishing can organise taster/shadow days for you to observe before you start covering lessons. This role is ideal for students and aspiring teachers, who are wanting to gain more classroom experience before applying for teacher training. School hours are 8.30 am to 3.00pm during term time only. Flexible may be offered depending on your availability. About the Cover Supervisor Position: ** Supervising pupils and ensuring a positive learning environment. ** No marking, planning or preparation – cover work is provided for you. ** A head start before applying for teacher training. ** Choose the days you want to work. Full flexibility. ____________________________________________________________________ The Successful Cover Supervisor will have/be: ** Ability to build positive relationships with students. ** GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent functional skills in English and Maths ** Hold high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour. ___________________________________________________________ To be Eligible the Cover Supervisor must have/be: ** Proof of eligibility to live and work in the UK. ** The ability to provide two professional or University references that cover the last two years of employment. ** Hold a fully enhanced DBS certificate (child workforce only) that is registered to the Update Service, or be willing to complete one.
