Role Overview The Internal Business Development Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day commercial support for all UK unlicensed customers, working closely with the Unlicensed business development team and the Unlicensed customer service team to achieve set commercial profit targets. To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive, possess a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, be meticulous, and work both independently and as part of a team, alongside having excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience in an unlicensed sales and account management role is advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities * Proactive account management of UK customers to enhance customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. * Generating and following up on leads. * Meeting or exceeding sales targets. * Negotiating and maintaining contract pricing with existing and prospective clients. * Defending current business while actively seeking new opportunities. * Analysing data and preparing weekly and monthly reports. * Conducting account analysis by examining product drop-offs and identifying sales trends. * Liaising with customer services regarding new product information and alternatives. * Researching unlicensed products. * Maintaining back orders. * Completing customer quality assessment documentation. * Managing tender processes. * Setting up and pricing new products. * Providing support for UK shortages. Person Specification Essential: * GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent. * Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills. * Excellent teamwork, motivational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. * Ability to multitask and quickly shift focus. * Computer literacy, including IT skills and typing proficiency. * Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Desirable: * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or customer service environments. * Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the NHS. * Familiarity with Excel and data analysis
