Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant Location: Islington, London Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate/As soon as possible Job Overview: A reputable and dynamic Primary school in Islington is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates aspiring to build a career in education, with hands-on experience in a vibrant and supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering lessons across various subjects and year groups. Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help with understanding and engagement. Work with students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are fully included in classroom activities. Help with lesson preparation, including setting up classroom resources and materials. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and behaviour. Supervise students during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities. Carry out administrative tasks related to teaching and the classroom.Ideal Candidate: Recent graduate with a strong academic background (Degree required, Education-related fields desirable but not essential). Passionate about working with young people and committed to making a difference in their educational journey. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is preferred. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to the changing needs of the classroom.
