Salary: £23893 - £27334 Salary will be pro rata (actual salary is £14009-£16026) Shift hours: 25 Inspired Pathways (formerly Hospital Education Service) is a Transition Service with three key provisions: Hospital school at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire Home tuition service Pupil referral unit based at Whitmore Park Annexe Pupils are referred to our service in the following ways: By a hospital consultant following a child’s discharge from hospital due to injury or surgery By a CAMHS consultant recommending a period of intervention By medical professionals following a child’s discharge from a Tier 4 provision Via the Extended School Non-Attendance Advisory Panel (ESNAAP). This is an exciting and dynamic role for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support our wonderful team of teachers at Whitmore Park Annexe. All of our children have experienced barriers to learning through illness or injury. You will join our dedicated team of teachers and support staff in reconnecting children with all that is wonderful about learning. Main duties will include: Supervise and support the teaching, and related activities, of individuals or groups of pupils to facilitate their learning as well as their social and emotional wellbeing. Use appropriate skills to undertake those activities necessary to meet the learning, social and emotional needs of individuals and groups of pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Monitor individual pupils’ progress, achievements and development needs, reporting to the responsible staff as appropriate. Take a lead role in the support and progress of identified pupils at Whitmore Park Annexe. Assist the teaching staff in the development and implementation of Individual Education and Personal Development Programmes for individuals and groups of pupils This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
