The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering service and equipment provider supporting our customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset’s integrity lifecycle.


The NDT team within our Asset Management business sector are currently looking for a Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) Technician to join us to support and deliver RVI solutions primarily to our customers in the UK nuclear power industry.


Whilst based in Renfrew, the role does mainly require working on sites in the UK with occasional international travel, and so location is flexible. Teamwork, attention to detail, a ‘can do’ attitude, creative problem solving, plus a willingness to travel at short notice are all great attributes to bring to this role.


We are looking for diligent, detail oriented, professional and hardworking individuals with experience of site work within the nuclear or thermal power sector or similar industries. Nuclear site security clearance, and experience in visual/NDT inspections of steam raising plant, pipework and associated components are of advantage.


You should be qualified to HNC or higher, or min. 2 years experience working on industrial sites in a technical or mechanical role, additionally, you will ideally have Nuclear security clearance (CTC or SC), Safety Passport and related HSE training as well as PCN Level 2 VT. Experience with visual or remote visual inspections, knowledge and understanding of metallurgical or NDT techniques, corrosion and failure mechanisms would be beneficial.
