Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, workingwith pupils who require extra support with learning, in a school where wemaintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to,respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. Weare looking for a Learning Support Assistant, able to support and motivatesome of our most troubled and reluctant learners. You will work closely withour Teachers, helping us in our vision to build incredible futures byempowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make theirway in the world.You will be forward thinking, engaging, resilient, and have an innovativestyle of mentoring, motivated by supporting families and helping every pupilto reach their potential.**Previous experience in a similar role and with SEN students is highlydesirable.****About Us**Kestrel House School is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. We helpeducate and support pupils and young people who have complex needs andspecialise in the communication and learning challenges associated withAutism.We want each young person at Kestrel House School to achieve their ownambitions and to live fulfilling and productive lives. This can be achieved by assisting andsupporting the class teachers with the agreed learning plans, whilst alsobeing responsible for safeguarding the pupils and young people. This willinclude making sure they are healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible andassisting with the physical, emotional, educational and personal care needsfor each individual.The site is in London, Haringey Borough within Crouch End area, quite close tocentral London. The location has the advantage of easy access to publictransport, having the over ground station located 5 to 10 min walk away fromthe school and a 2 bus stops right outside of the school front gates.For over 16 years, Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils,young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learningdifficulties.
