3rd Line Engineer

Our client is a growing MSP who have won multiple awards over the last couple of years wiht a growing client base. Due to growth they are looking for a 3rd Line Engineer to join their Service Desk working on a mix of BAU support and Projects. With purpose built offices and offering hybrid working they truly have an environment that support collaborative working and an environment for engineers to continually upskill.  Key Responsibilities: Act as the final point of escalation for 2nd Line Engineers, providing expert support and troubleshooting for complex issues. Manage and resolve incidents within SLAs, ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide hands-on support for server, network, and infrastructure environments. Perform advanced diagnosis, repair, and upgrades for a variety of hardware and software. Collaborate with vendors and 3rd party service providers on behalf of clients. Document processes and maintain detailed records of technical resolutions. Lead or assist with IT projects, including migrations, implementations, and upgrades. Skills & Experience Required: Extensive experience in a 3rd Line Engineer role within an MSP environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365). Expertise in virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Solid networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs. Experience with storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and backup technologies. Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Qualifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are desirable. ITIL Foundation certification is a plus. What's on Offer?
