Shipping Finance Solicitor | 3-10 PQE | LondonOur client, an international law firm with a strong global presence, is looking for a talented Shipping Finance Solicitor to join their London-based Marine Assets and Projects team. Known for providing an excellent work-life balance and fostering professional development, they offer an environment where employees can thrive and succeed in their careers.The Team:The Marine Assets and Projects team is focussed on transactional, non-contentious marine and projects work. They act primarily for owners, operators and stakeholders such as major energy companies across a broad range of commercial shipping and marine projects. The team can advise on the entire lifecycle of a ship, from shipbuilding contracts, to financing, ship recycling, time charters and offshore projects.The team acts for some of the world's largest companies and are involved in transactions relating to all types of vessels including bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, reefers, cruise ships, yachts, offshore rigs, FSRUs, FPSOs and other floating energy projects as well as supply and support vessels.They advise on all related contracts, including industry standard forms and drafting bespoke contracts and the team are also familiar with and negotiate various forms of vessel financing, including traditional loans and sale and leaseback financing arrangements.The Role:The successful candidate will be a core member of theLondon Marine Assets and Projects Team. The candidate will work closely with various other practice areas, including the corporate teams, marine litigation and our international offices. The ideal candidate will have experience in most of these areas:Shipbuilding contractsShip sale and purchase (ideally being able to manage the transaction with minimal supervision)Ship financingBareboat chartersLong term time charter parties
