Engineering Quality & Safety Assurance Manager

Role purpose
Working as an integral part of the Compliance Department, the incumbent is accountable for the continued delivery and development of the quality and safety assurance (compliance monitoring) system as it applies to the engineering and maintenance environment. This also includes full accountability of both civil and military Airworthiness Review activity and Licensed Engineer Authorisation processes. The incumbent must acceptable to the Regulatory Authorities in the role as nominated (Form 4) Compliance Monitoring Manager for company's suite of airworthiness and maintenance regulatory approvals including, but not limited to, UK CAA Part 145, CAMO and MAA Part 145.

Key accountabilities:
- Fulfil the UK CAA accepted (CAA Form 1769) role(s) of nominated Compliance Monitoring Manager in accordance with company airworthiness and maintenance regulatory approvals.
- Be solely accountable for the effective maintenance, development and delivery of company compliance monitoring processes as applied to airworthiness and maintenance activities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including the evaluation and approval of contracted and sub-contracted activity (as applicable).
- Take full ownership of the continued integration of such compliance monitoring processes within company wider integrated Management System, including that of Operations Compliance Monitoring, Safety, Security and ISO Management System components.
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
- UK CAA Part 66 Licence or equivalent Engineering degree and experience (10 years + in an engineering/maintenance environment)
- Demonstrable experience in a nominated position within an approved aviation organisation with appropriate responsibilities
- Sound understanding of both compliance monitoring and safety management principles
- Substantial expertise of auditing in a civilian and/or military environment
Experience and competence necessary to fulfil the requirements of a UK CAA Form 1769 Compliance Monitoring and/or ARC Signatory post.
