Job DescriptionData Governance Manager | Greenfield Project | FinTech CompanySalary: £80k - £90k + 10% bonusHybrid: 1-2 days in BlackfriarsI am seeking a Data Governance Manager to join a prestigious FinTech company that delivers SaaS products offering real-time market feeds and pricing information, comparable with platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters. With around 800 employees globally and headquartered in London, the company is at the forefront of financial technology.The Data Governance Manager will join a greenfield team and project to build out a new data governance platform from scratch. This is being handled by a 3rd party suppliers which you will eventually take over.Responsibilities:Identify and audit everythingSources or systems that need governance: understand what systems are in place, what will be required long-term, what needs to be retired, where data is located, and who owns it. Identifying data owners is a significant challenge. This is split in two area:Management Information: systems like Salesforce, Marketo, etc.Monetizable Data Assets: data that the firm sells.Set up a data councilEstablish data quality standards to define what constitutes good quality data.Create data quality metrics to track the state of data.Develop documentation, guidelines, and policies for data management.Build a data governance platformMust have hands-on experience with implementing data lineage and catalogue tools (such as Collibra, data.world, Purview, Atlan, Castor).As the organization grows, it will acquire more data to add to their data products. Some of which will need to be retired, updated, and it's life cycle would need to be governed.Manage PII, GDPR compliance, and data requests.Essential Skills:Previous role as a Data Governance Manager, Lead, or Specialist.Experience implementing governance frameworks/methodologies: DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, etcData management and governance tools like Collibra, data.world, Purview, Atlan, Castor for data catalogs, data quality, data lineage, data management, data integration.Experience working with a modern cloud data tech stack: Snowflake, Azure, DBT, Fivetran etc. Although helpful, you don't need hands on experience with these.Experience establishing data governance processes in business data sources like Salesforce, Marketo, NetSuite etc.Ability to persuade and sell data governance concepts to resistant team members.My client is keen to get the Data Governance Manager on quickly so apply ASAP or get in touch!Data Governance Manager | Greenfield Project | FinTech Company
